Born in Akron, Ohio. Started playing classical piano and sang in choirs at an early age. Moved to NYC to study liberal arts, but also got a make-shift education in soulful and improvisational-based music genres like jazz, gospel, funk, and soul. This acted as a springboard to discovering disco, house, hip-hop, rnb, afrobeat and many other genres. The desire to dance with others, combined with his groovy and rhythmic-based musical education led him straight into deejaying.
